Henry J. Ford, Jr. is an associate at Albert, Whitehead. He practices in the general commercial litigation area of the firm.
Prior to becoming an associate at the firm, Mr. Ford was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Illinois Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Bureau in Chicago. In that capacity he was a civil prosecutor enforcing the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act and related statutes on behalf of the State of Illinois. At the Attorney General's Office, he last served as a supervising attorney in the Consumer Fraud Bureau's mortgage fraud team. In addition, he worked as a staff attorney at the law and policy organization, Business and Professional People for the Public Interest (BPI) in Chicago. At BPI he worked on civil rights litigation concerning fair housing. He also worked with the Chicago Housing Authority while representing public housing families during the CHA's public housing redevelopment.
Mr. Ford graduated from Syracuse University College of Law in 2002. He also received a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Public Administration in 2002. Mr. Ford did his undergraduate work at Hampton University.
Mr. Ford is licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Cook County Bar Association. He was selected by Super Lawyer's magazine as one of its "Illinois Rising Stars 2008" in the area of consumer law.
